The manufacturing is done exclusively around Thiers according to the traditional techniques that have made the world reputation of SABATIER AINÉ & PERRIER for more than 150 years. High Carbon Stainless Steel is a combination of Chrome, vanadium, and molybdenum alloy making it resistant to stain and corrosion yet still allowing for a fine edge.
100% Carbon Steel knives characteristically darken with use. This is normal. Rubbing with a damp cork dipped in baking soda or scouring powder will nearly recover the original luster. After use a light coat of vegetable oil is recommended. They are not to be put in the dishwasher or left in water for extended periods of time.
